Workshop information

Please note the following characteristics and expectations of interactive workshops and the team who lead them:

Workshop Content and Format
  • Workshops are expected to share the process and experiences of translating research into their context and the impact that these ideas have had their own teaching practice.
  • Workshops should directly connect to one or more of the conference strands.
  • Workshops must be interactive, with multiple opportunities (in small groups and/or individually) for participants to discuss experiences, practice using tools, reflect on questions, make or create objects, lesson plans, get feedback, etc.  These are NOT lectures or paper presentations.
Workshop Logistics
  • Each workshop is either 60 minutes or 90 minutes long.
  • Facilitators should be willing to offer their workshop once or twice, depending on the conference needs.
  • Most workshops will have a maximum of 50 participants.
Workshops Facilitators
  • Special priority will be given to workshops proposed by K-12 teacher practitioners in AADES member schools.

The deadline for workshop proposal submissions is Friday, 10th June 2022.
