The Community Advancing Digital Learning (DLAC) is an organisation that is hoping to address the identified gap in research for K-12 digital learning.
DLAC is trying to determine the key areas of research that they should pursue based on the interests of online educators.
Earlier this year they published their initial findings in The Community Advancing Digital Learning's Bridging the Gap Between Research and Practice: A DLAC Research Agenda - Phase 1
Phase 1 outlines the persistent gap between educational research and classroom practice in K-12 digital learning, citing barriers such as inaccessible journals, rigid scholarly formats, and prioritization of immediate problem-solving over long-term research integration. These challenges are compounded by time constraints, lack of leadership support, and limited professional development opportunities for teachers.
